This model features a button at the bottom which lights up the bulb and does not require the use of a ring or any other gimmick.
The Magic Lamp, (a.k.a. the Comedy Bulb) is an excellent gag item for magicians, MCs, or anyone wishing to show-off a novel prop. To all appearances this is a regular light bulb, but you can make it light up in your hands whenever you wish.
This model of the Magic Lamp uses a super bright LED that will not fuse like ordinary torch bulbs, uses far less current, allowing each set of batteries to last a very long time, and gives a brighter diffused glow over the entire bulb, enabling you to present this under normal light conditions, and not just in a dimly lit room. (The photos show the result under normal light conditions).
Supplied complete with batteries (which can be replaced when required), and a page of ideas to get the best use of this great comedy prop. Excellent value at a very good price.

I bought this for an Uncle Fester costume, and I’m pleased with how it is. It CAN come apart easily. I put all the parts and the assembly in the photos as well as the operation. The light can stutter but a little shake will put the batteries back in order. Make sure the positive side is facing the BOTTOM OF THE LIGHT BULB. As shown here. In order for the light to come on you NEED to hold the button down — it’s not a push on/off button. For Uncle Fester usage this requires you to hold it between your teeth and push the button with your tongue. As shown in the picture. Feel free to shoot me any questions!
This is a fun thing to do! We were watching old Adams Family reruns the other day, and we got to thinking how fun it would be now for Halloween or any season really for a party. So we went surfing and naturally Amazon had it. So we bought one and it is darling, and can't wait for the perfect time to use it. Enjoy them if you dare. :-) Safe and sane and easy to use.

It's a bit of fun... It does work according to instructions but it is quite flimsy considering the cost... I would expect this to be half the cost at best
My girlfriend and I do some amateur entertainment shows, and used this as part of two skits, and it was great! It was east to perform, and the crowd was delighted, and completely mystified how we could turn a light bulb on without any electrical connection whatsoever. I had her blow it a kiss while furtively flipping the small switch. Candidly, I can't figure out myself how the device works, but it does, every time.
Ah, the magic bulb, so many tricks to do. I use a light stand to do the trick. I am pleased to own one. Who knows i might buy another one.
